The Brattle Quartet

The Brattle Quartet is made up of Harvard University students Audrey Chen (cello), Martine Thomas (viola), and Emma Frucht (violin) and New England Conservatory Student Geneva Lewis. All are alumni of From the Top, America’s largest national platform dedicated to celebrating the stories, talents, and character of classically-trained young musicians. Through live events, NPR and video broadcasts, scholarships, and arts education programs, we empower these extraordinary young people to engage and inspire music lovers of all ages.

Gary Kaplan "For about 34 years I built furniture as a hobby. About 20 years ago I took a woodturning course and was entralled with the range of opportunities, shapes , and the beauty of the wood grains that were exposed as the bowls were turned on the lathe. I have been a member of the Association of Revolutionary Turners and the national organization- American Association of Woodturners (AAW). I was fortunate to have an article published in the AAW Magazine. I have been a vendor in many craft shows and won their award for "Best of Show" in the Charleston Art in the Park Show. I enjoy talking with customers and many seem eager to learn about the process of woodturning. I get great pleasure from the feedback I get from customers both past and present. My work also sells in what I consider high quality gift shops. Woodturning is a challenging and exciting craft and there are always opportunities to learn more and grow and further develop one's skills.
