Eiko Fazio was born and raised in Japan. When she was very young, she battled with ADHD and could not focus on normal academic subjects, but she excelled in art class. Her mother encouraged her to read books but her interest was always drawn to some form of visual presentations. For her, words didn’t tell her story, but the visual form did. As a child, she drew many cartoons and anime characters. She was always curious to new discoveries and loved cuddly animals. She thought she would become an anime artist when she grew up. Unlike many art lovers, she did not attend a school of arts. She moved to the US to quench her curiosity and experience the other side of the world. During this period she was distant from her arts but her passion had begun to simmer below the surface. She traveled to many places and went to countless museums. She was very intrigued by the evolution of European art. Of all art history, the Renaissance era is by far her favorite.Eiko wanted her living space to look like an art museum, thus she began painting. She expresses her character through the canvas. She loves to brighten up just about anything, as if she wants to brighten up the spirits of all the people around her. She likes to paint nature, and is especially fascinated by the evening sky, where one could spot millions of colors within a few seconds of searching. She loves to recreate this magical moment on the canvas. As for the subjects of her paintings, she doesn’t stay in any single genre because she follows her intuition and her curiosity pushes her boundaries. It is interesting to see what she is painting now! ... See MoreSee Less
